Set the mood with Bookish Broad, a small-batch candle hand-poured in Oakland and finished with a label you make your own. Add the year you earned the title — whenever it was you stopped reading what you were supposed to and started reading what you wanted.
Choose your fragrance from nine house scents: spiced cinnamon and maple, smoky oud, bright lemon and cedar, soft rose and musk, and more. Something with a bit of smoke to it, ideally.
Made with clean, high-quality ingredients, Bookish Broad is for opinionated readers, book club ringleaders, and anyone who has never once finished a book she disliked quietly.
Made in our California studio using a natural coconut soy wax blend, clean fragrance oils, and cotton-core wicks. Fragrances are phthalate-free and never tested on animals.
- Trim wick to ¼” before each burn
- Allow wax to melt fully to the edges on the first burn
- Never leave a burning candle unattended

Orders usually ship within 3–5 business days. During restocks or holidays, give us a little extra time — everything’s poured, labeled, and packed by hand.
We currently ship within the United States only. We’re working on adding international options soon.
We use a virgin coconut-soy wax blend, cotton wicks, and phthalate-free fragrance oils — always cruelty-free, always hand-poured.
